December if flying by and I am still tweaking. Here are a few pics of what I accomplished today.
My hooking chair is wearing tartan this year. I adore tartan! Nothing says Christmas like a little plaid...and gym socks in your stocking...sorry, that's a family joke of sorts.
The mantle is simple...just greens and fruit and pewter.
My hooking chair has a twin that lives in my bedroom.
Annie and I worked on the tree a little today. We put a big Papa star, a medium Mama star, and a wee Baby star on the tree this year.
We could not find the stockings last year and it's not looking too promising this year. We'll be the people with bare feet at the gym! We are also missing a box of ornaments. I think there is a "black hole" in my attic.
Hope you are enjoying the season!
Enjoy the day,
Robyn
I just hate those "black holes". I've got one or two in my attic, too.

So beautiful! I love your hooking chair and its mate. I sympathize on the missing items. I couldn't find some ornaments for the longest time. Hope everything turns up eventually.
ReplyDeleteI love the family of stars. They really command attention.
ReplyDeleteIs there a possibility that you gave the ornaments to charity? I hope that you can find them in your attic. It must be maddening.
The tartan really perks up the Holiday ambiance on that black chair.
My ornaments are still in the plastic totes.Actually I'm doing some progress, I put on some Christmas music today.
Hugs,
JB
Evening Robyn, everything looks lovely, your decorating style is wonderful.Love the family of stars on the tree, looks so pretty, Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteJust lovely Robyn. Especially love the family of stars! Janice
ReplyDeleteI just love the chair, lantern, and every single bit of it!
ReplyDeletejust wonderful, and so very appealing!
love the stars, and I hope the black hole spits your stockings back out to you!
that or put in a special priority delivery for dec. 23rd!
We just moved and am desperately tying to settle in ... not much progress, it's like 2 steps forward and 1 backward, very slow but sure. Actually a black hole or two might be just what I need. We must get our tree up this weekend and then our 'Tinker Bell', Sandy can decorate it. I love how you decorate ... so festive.
ReplyDeletePeace and Blessings to all,
Barb
Beautiful! Really like the tin lantern and candle, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that my house isn't the only one with a black hole ;)
ReplyDeleteEverything is Oh so lovely! BTW, we always find socks in our stockings:) It wouldn't be Christmas without them!
Blessings, Patti
Loving your hooking chair !
ReplyDeleteI am learning to not change the storage location of anything at our house.
(or I will never be able to find the item)
Hope your Christmas Stockings turn up.
Rose

Lovely, cozy, festive!

I can relate to black holes. Mine are more like black mines! Not really, but it can be hard to know where something is up in our attic. Even though it is a walk in attic, I dread going up there! I could get lost in that black mine tripping over rocks! Anyway, your Christmas decor is so beautiful. I have been wanting a black comb back windsor for a long time and see one in my furture. Your simple decorations are beautiful. I did buy black paint at Lowes, Lincoln Cottage Black is what I chose to do a small table. Wish me luck. Thank you for sharing such beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteI'm in awe of your mantle! That's exactly how I hope to be able to decorate my house one day...so lovely to look at! The pewter plates are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteHi Robyn,
ReplyDeleteI love all of your "tweaking" and think everything is just perfect!! I was inspired by you to do my own little series and just did Part 2 today! I might actually get Part 3 done BEFORE Christmas!!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us....always an inspiration!!
Warmest Hugs~
Julie
P.S. - I LOVE your background fabric......RED!!! Beautiful!!!
