Atlantic Beach

Last week we spent several days in Atlantic Beach, a place we had never been. It is on the coast up by Jacksonville.

Every evening, while Mr.MW and Annie enjoyed the pool, I walked the beach...for miles.

I gathered shells and feathers to add to our collections.

I observed the efforts of the day's beach goers.

I added a few inches to a simple scarf I am knitting for the daughter of a friend.

I snapped a few photos and...

enjoyed the sunset.

It was a slow, quiet few days. The weather was perfect.

The company...the best...and...

the hallway had polka dots!

Enjoy the day,
Robyn

Don't be a turkey...

Here he is...my favorite fowl. This beautiful fraktur style watercolor was painted by Lori Brechlin and I am so happy he lives here with us.

Don't be a turkey...remember to vote for Lori and Peter over at Martha Stewart's American Made Contest.

Vote everyday...six times!

Let's all help this talented and deserving couple achieve the next step in their dream of growing their self made business. Keep those votes coming!

Enjoy the day,
Robyn

Miss Punkin' Head wants to remind you...

This lady is one of Lori Brechlin's original creations. I love her tiny teeth!

Miss Punkin' Head wants to remind you to vote today...six times a day, everyday...and for the next twelve days, for Lori and Peter at Notforgotten Farm. It's a close race...don't forget to vote every day 6x's!

Pumpkin Tyme

It's not really fall around our home until Pumpkin Tyme makes his appearance. He's settled into the cornhusk wreath above the mantle and loves the view of the bird feeder in the backyard.

Pumpkin Tyme was sewn by Angela Hillstrom from Of Cloth and Hand. He was inspired by an original painting by Lori Brechlin from Notforgotten Farm. Both of these talented ladies are among my favorite contemporary folk artists. I am so happy this sweet fellow lives here with us.

Oh...while I'm thinking of it, Pumpkin Tyme says it's voting time over at Martha Stewart's American Made Contest. He hopes you will vote for the lady who was inspired to paint him...Lori Brechlin.

Go vote...six, yes 6 times a day!
