Living in the Sunshine State there are sights we see everyday that it is unlikely you would see anywhere but here.
I thought I might share some of those with you today.
So...you know you're in Florida if...
...rows of sailboats bask in the afternoon sun...
...feathered friends drop by to say hello and stay all afternoon...
...you practice your letters poolside...
...you pull up next to odd vehicles in traffic...
...moats are part of the local architecture...
...long-legged friends stroll the rest stops...
...ex Governors entertain you...
...while you dine on "rubber" chicken...
...houses are sometimes a lovely green...
...oceans and skies are beautiful blues...
...clouds are miracles...
...friends come calling...
...and the sun bids the day farewell in the most magnificent manner...
From Florida...wishing you a wonderful weekend!
Enjoy the day,
Robyn
***the photos of Senator Bob Graham and Governor Charlie Crist were taken by me...I hope they don't mind me sharing***
Thanks for this spectacular Florida way of life by the ocean. Great photos...
ReplyDeleteI was in Florida only once and it was in winter of 1966, a long time ago but where we were I was aware of a lot of older people vacationing and of course I was still young. Lots of sirens going at all hours of the night. It was during the Cuban Crisis. I bet it looks much different now.
Hugs,
JB
Such pretty pictures of your state Robyn! Thank you for posting them. Enjoy your weekend. Happy Father's Day to mr. Mugwump! Hugs, Lori

My cousin in Georgia is the farm manager for Bill Graham's black angus farm there. Huge farm...and his house is amazing. Got the personal tour when the magmolias were blooming. We have egrets and cranes too that visit us here in the Summer. Lovely pics! Annie looks like she is having fun. Janice
