We are squirrel people. We spend a lot of time being amused by the antics of these silly little critters as they dart about our yard. They also have made their way inside the house. We have a Papa Squirrel, Mama Squirrel, and Baby Squirrel that have taken up residence in an old dough bowl on our dining room table.

And here are the seasonal creations of some of my favorite folk artists.
This is Mrs. Begg by Kim Bour...
....and this is Mrs. Begg by Mona Holland...I fall hard for Mrs. Begg every time I see her...I guess that explains why I have two versions of her by two talented artists...Mrs. Begg is a Pineberry Lane pattern.
This lovely witch is by Rebecca Lindquist of The Simple Quiet. Some of my favorite colors all in one place in this beauty.
And this fine lady is by Lori Brechlin of Notforgotten Farm.
My Fall decorating has been in dribs and drabs this year...amazingly disjointed...much like this post....much like my brain at this point in time. I've been working on Christmas Mugwump Woolies for weeks and I'm having trouble recollecting what day it is, much less what holiday my decor should reflect. Tis the season for muddled minds!
Enjoy the day, (Thursday, right? 10/11/12)

Robyn,
ReplyDeleteI love your squirrel family cookie cutters! You have some wonderful creations by some wonderfully talented ladies. We have snow covering the ground this morning so I'm thinking Christmas too when here I just posted my fall decor pics! I think I will start my Christmas update goodies today. It seems appropriate. Have a most wonderful, befuddled day my dear! I'm right there with ya!! Hugs, Lori
Hello Robyn, what great fall goodies you have. The cookie cutters are so cute, that bowl of fixins is so neat, can imagine it smells so good. Love Mrs. Begg, what a beautiful prim kitty she is, as is the pumpkin gal, so wonderful, the little black kitty is adorable to, such primness, love it all. Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE all cookie cutters and EVERYTHING!! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI love all of your prim fall decor. What wonderful treasures you have. Enjoy!

Hello Robyn... I am in love with your fall decorations and am determined to collect my own handcrafted items from these talented Artisans! :) I am suffering from a loss of time lately too. I work in a bank and was setting the lobby daters the other day and put out Thursday October 10... when it should have been Wednesday October 10. I was happy though not to lose a day! LOL
ReplyDeleteI enjoy viewing and reading your blog. I have fallen in a big way for your pumpkin lady by Lori Brechlin. She is spectacular! Thank you so much for sharing. :)

I love seeing all your fall decorating. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing what you can do with color. Although I'm not a fan of folk art, I can appreciate the enormous possibilities of variations and creativity each artist comes up with. I love the colors and when they are all put together so tastefully as you do, they looks spectacular. I don't desire them for myself but I enjoy looking at them a lot. They look so ugly , they are cute. I mean this in a nice way. I also buy the Country Sampler just because I love looking at the stuff but I don't desire it. I'm a strange creature.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend. I know what you mean with "what day it it today?" It's cool that it's 10/11/12.
Hugs, JB
