As I continue to clean and sort, throw away and bag up, scrub and polish...I've managed to reacquaint myself with some old friends.
In my ongoing effort to "simplify", these old German bunnies will become our primary decorations for Spring. The many "cutesy" bunnies and lambs that have accumulated in boxes over the two decades we have lived in our little house...well, many of them didn't make the cut and are headed to the Salvation Army. Still others, the best of the lot, will make their way to the group home where my sister works and, hopefully, bring a few smiles to the lovely faces of the adults she helps care for...very "special" folks.
Have a wonderful weekend...stay safe!
Enjoy the day,
Robyn
Love this rabbit. I understand perfectly the "not making the cut" plan!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Robyn,
ReplyDeleteI love your old bunnies and how sweet of you to remember the dear people who could use a 'new smile'...Blessed are you dear lady.
Karen
Love the bunny! Good for you, weeding out the cutesy bunnies and sheep. I hope you are keeping the nice ones though. :D
ReplyDeleteMorning Robyn, funny, I was thinking the same thing, out with the cutsey in with the prim, I really cannot afford the very old candy containers but I do love them so....your bunny is perfect, looks great.......Enjoy the weekend, Francine.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you are sending your prizes away for someone else to enjoy !!
ReplyDeleteI love the whole "not making the cut"...I box up items and if I don't use them in a year or two...on to other homes they go. ;)

Nothing like de-cluttering and a fresh scrub to bring some new life to a home.
ReplyDeleteI love the brown rabbit with his ears all perked up.
I agree with your thoughtful idea of passing those bunnies you no longer want to the group home. It will surely be appreciated.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
JB
