September Kitchen Window

September...a lovely month. My kitchen window this month is full of so many of my favorite things.

Shooner redware,  old bittersweet vine, feathers, a couple of early tin cookie cutters...and a string of tiny amber rice lights to add just a little twinkle.

Polka dotted Shooner salt with a tin lid...I love anything with dots.

When your front yard is home to two very old, very large live oaks, acorns are part of the landscape...inside and out. This early tin cookie cutter is a good five inches high.

An early tin squirrel cookie cutter and lots of polka dots.

A window to welcome the change of seasons...

*************

Thank you for the well wishes on my last post. Frozen shoulder can last up to thirty months, but I'm trying to stay positive. I'm doing my exercises and keeping heat on it. Putting all my effort into getting this over with as soon as possible. It's wicked.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend...stay safe...make some memories.

Enjoy the day,
Robyn

  1. Robyn, I just love your September window! I am waiting anxiously for a drop in temperature here in Arizona. But in the meantime I think I'll settle for some indoor changes =) Thank you so much for sharing!

  5. Such a beautiful window this month. I love all your Shooner pieces! Hope that shoulder heals up quickly -- definitely more quickly than 30 months. Yikes!

  7. PERFECTION! You always have just the right mix. I know how awful those shoulder injuries can be, I hurt mine sewing a binding on a wool quilt. It took me several months to figure out I could not cure it myself (I was a nurse in my first life). Finally I gave in and went to therapy! All is well now and thank God punching did not irritate it. Hang in there it taks time.

  12. Love your kitchen window arrangement, so charming. I'm so drawn to the colors of autumn.
Yes, my orthopedist told me that some frozen shoulders can take three years (YIKES!) but mine took about a year in total. I was a nincompoop though and suffered with it for a few months before going to the doctor, not knowing what it was and thinking it would get better on its own. I think I went to PT for about 8 months and then I was fine. The exercises really do work.
Thinking of you, hoping you get relief very soon.
