House Hunting with my girl...

I love waking up in a hotel in the heart of a large city! The hustle and bustle in the street below is fun to watch...this is the view from our room at the Four Seasons in Atlanta.

Yesterday, Annie and I ventured out to the gorgeous area of Atlanta known as Buckhead. Buckhead is full of wonderful older homes...on lovely hilly, winding streets. This was our favorite!

Annie and I have a tradition when we travel...we house hunt and take pictures of our favorites.

We spotted some beauties on our drive yesterday.

...love the worn white paint on this Southern beauty.

...lots of ivy all over.

We spotted a yellow front door just like ours!

After our home tour we hit some great antique shops, full of wonderful Southern antiques...we didn't spend a cent...but had a fun time looking.

Have a great weekend!

Enjoy the day,
Robyn

Enjoy the day,

  1. Oh Robyn,
I would love to live in any of these homes, but would prefer the smaller one like the first or last picture. Sadly, they do not come like that here in So. Cal. or should I say very rarely. How lucky to have such a wonderful choice and Sounds like you had a fun day.
Ditto...have a great weekend with Peace,
    Barb

  10. All lovely homes. One of my favorite things is riding around looking at house styles, more so when gas was reasonable!!

  11. Such beautiful houses! And the antiquing sounds like fun too! I think what I love most about this post is how I can just see what a wonderful mother you are to Annie. Such special times you have together!

  12. All of those houses are beautiful. My fiance and I are looking at Mount Pleasant real estate. We haven't seen anything that we liked yet but I am sure we will soon. I can't wait until we have our own house. Thanks for sharing!

  13. Gorgeous homes...How fun to daydream and sightsee - will a willing co-conspirator! I bet you two have seen some amazing homes in your travels....Hmmmm...I think I'd choose the second or third one....and if I could afford one of those, then I'd also pack it up and move it into the middle of nowhere.... Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

  14. Those houses look amazing! And they definitely have that Southern beauty vibe. I must say that you two have an eye for gorgeous property. I hope that you can get one of these houses for yourselves. My favorite is the house on the sixth photo. The brick design looks lovely with a bit of an old school touch. I can’t even see the entire front look of the property, but I know that it is lovely.

  15. All these houses are wonderful! With lots of choices to choose from, I’m sure that you’re having a hard time in choosing which one to purchase. Anyway, stick to your budget or if you’re planning to take out a loan, just make sure that it still fits your earnings.

  16. House hunting sounds cool! By the way, are you looking for your dream house or is it just your hobby to search for houses? Of all the houses, my favorite is the mysterious white house on the 2nd to the last picture!
