Tree is up...but not decorated. We like to leave it bare, except for lights, for a few days. I would leave it this way if it were up to me...but I am over ruled by a certain daughter itching to get on with the decorating. It smells so good!
I am so very far behind...nothing new there.
My red chest arrived and I am very happy with it. Decked it out with my other red painted pieces...some fruit and greens.
Can't believe tomorrow is December! Crunch time!
Have a great weekend...stay safe!
Enjoy the day,
Robyn
Oh so lovely! Love your tree, and love your chest! That woven throw on your chest is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHi Robyn
ReplyDeleteOh the chest looks so perfect in its new home.
I love my tree before the ornaments get on - I would be happy with it left this way too. Yours is just gorgeous.
Karen
Robyn, your tree looks so beautiful with all the lights on. It brings magic in the home and sets the holiday mood. I can see why Annie is eager to decorate it.
ReplyDeleteI see something new on your post, your beautiful red chest is feeling like it has found a good place to call home. Don't you wish it could tell you it's story?
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
JB
The blanket chest is gorgeous. What a wonderful find.
ReplyDeleteSo many times I would love to leave my tree undecorated but the family usually rules the other way...... it's okay.
The red chest is wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteLucky you !!! that is a beautiful chest.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tree and the truck is perfection......Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteYour tree is such a beautiful shaped one, very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThat RED blanket chest is GORGEOUS!!! Oh....you lucky thing you!!! What a sweet Mr. MW you have!!! And it's RED, RED, RED!!! SQUEAL!!! Sorry I've been a bit MIA (ok - a lot MIA.....) - but looks like you're keeping true to form and living an exciting life that most of us can only share vicariously....wow....Biltmore looks positively magical...yeah, I knew of it, read of it, but didn't realize the regal scope of it - or that it was home to only 3 people originally.....And the whole Christy thing - wow....what wonderful adventures you have had....that outing sounds like it would have been a permanently wonderful imprint on anyone's memory page..... Loving the sweet little belsnickle in your header too....can't wait for you to unfold and share with us the magic you create when you decorate.....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
ReplyDeleteI love how you decorated the red chest with the other reds and greens. So festive. Have a great weekend Robyn. Janice
ReplyDeleteI've recently found your blog. Wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying it. Your tree is beautiful! I enjoy mine with just lights for a few days too.
ReplyDeleteYour trunk is amazing!! Congrats on the purchase!!
Hi Robyn,
ReplyDeleteFrom one lover of red to another.....I loved the red chest the first time you shared it and LOVE it in your new home!!! Just PERFECT!!
The tree is such a lovely shape and does indeed look beautiful with just the white lights but Miss Annie will make it even lovlier with all the special ornaments she is so anxious to add!! I know she will have fun hanging each one!
I know what you mean about "crunch time" but just try to enjoy each moment and take one day at a time (believe me when I say this is a BIG NOTE TO MYSELF) and it will all get done! Just put on your red lipstick and you are ready for ANYTHING!!!
Lots of Hugs~~
Julie
I'm in serious blanket chest envy right now!
ReplyDeleteour tree is up and undecorated too! I said "oh let's just have a 'woodland' Christmas theme and just leave it like this!" my daughter came home from being out and nixed that idea and said she will decorate it. I say good idea!
