So far....

...I've had a wonderful Mother's Day!

I had my morning tea while puttering around in my door garden. The birdsong was exquisite and the aromas were incredible.

The Confederate Jasmine by the garage door is in full bloom...I wish you could smell the wonderful scent this vine shares with us every May. It is amazing!

This bush is also home to this couple.

They have lived there for years...raising many babies. They are so tame they no longer scatter when we are in the yard. We don't use pesticides on our yard so they feast on grass and weeds alike.

This lizard was enjoying the morning sun with me.

...a great start.

Hope you are enjoying a wonderful Mother's Day!

Enjoy the day,
Robyn

  1. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY Robyn, how lucky to have a Confederate Jasmine growing by your garage. I can only imagine the sweet fragrance it emit all summer long. It's too cold here to grow them outdoors.

I love your Geranium, they always make me want to touch the scented leaves and the flower is so beautiful.

It has been a quiet rainy day here and my son dropped by with a Delilah plant for Mother's Day.I hope that I can salvage the tuber for more blooms next year. I had a nice nap this afternoon to replenish my much needed sleep and feel great.

    Have a nice week.
    Hugs,
    JB

  3. Happy Mother's Day! Beautiful pictures Robyn. Red geraniums...can't wait to plant some this year. We had an inch of snow when we got up this morning and the air feels like winter right now but the sun is out and Zoe & I had a nice invigorating walk. Hugs, Lori

  13. For the first time, my geraniums are blooming like crazy. Mom of the green thumb loves them and has given me so many starts which died. This is a slightly different variety with smaller flowers which come out on long stems.

Since I don't have to worry about the horses anymore, I hope that Confederate jasmine will grow here. At my parents place in Pinellas County, Mom's jasmine has been growing for more than 10 years. I will be getting some starts from her next week.
