Another long unfinished rug is on my frame. I love this folky lady and will be pulling loops on her today. Think I'll have a finish by the 4th? Probably not...another trip is coming up, and we are into easy Summer mode here. It's way too hot to rush!
Need to fix that wayward jawline...oh my! But I do like her green eyes!
Hurricane season is upon us...not my favorite time of year!
Big thank you to all who left such lovely comments about my rug on my last post. Your encouraging words are most welcome and appreciated...such kind words, from such talented ladies...I am grateful.
Enjoy the day,
What a fun rug! I'm looking forward to a bit of summer mode. lol! Too much going on to relax though. Hope you get more done on this rug -- I will enjoy watching your progress.ReplyDelete
A very lovely lady liberty! You're inspiring me to pick up my hook again!ReplyDelete
I have been so behind on my blog reading and am trying to do some catching up!! I LOVE your sweet new header......great redware and old coverlet pieces!!
Your rug is really fun and folky and I bet the 3 Americana dolls will keep a close eye on your progress!! They will look great with it!!
Have fun pulling wool and do be safe on your travels!!
Have a wonderful day my friend~~
I love the jaw, she looks like she means business!ReplyDelete
Great folk art rug! I can remember being intimidated by my very first big rug and was only one time..... many rugs large and small later and always look forward to the next one.ReplyDelete
I really like your Lady Liberty she has a strong character. I'll be watching for more pics as you work on her. Have a great dayReplyDelete
I look forward to seeing this rug to completion! You hook some big rugs! What size is this one?
Pug hugs :)
This rug is 24x36...and compared to the one I just finished it looks small! The largest rug I have hooked is 32x48. Think I'll start hooking some smaller pieces after I finish this one! Thanks for coming by :)
Looking good Robyn! Cannot wait to see this one finished. Take care, JaniceReplyDelete
She is positively BEEEAAAUTIFUL, Robyn!! And so glad to hear I'm not the only one with "unfinished" rugs....Going to finish up my little punch piece and then go back to the hooking frame - soon I hope. But things have just been crazy busy here..... Can't wait to see this one completed - too fun! Safe travels! Smiles & Hugs ~ RobinReplyDelete
Just love the rug you're working on. Can't wait to see it finished. Can you tell me what the name of that pattern is and who sells the pattern/kit?ReplyDelete
The name of this pattern is Libby Bert but I cannot remember where I bought it. I'll keep working on it and let you know if I find the source.Delete
Thanks for coming by and have a great weekend!
