I know, I know. June is half over and I am just getting around to posting my June kitchen window.
I fear my other wing, the right one, is in the process of freezing and I am trying to rest it as much as I can. Ugh!
Anyway...my June window is a salute to the sea.
The ship print is by Kolene Spicher. I have several of Kolene's prints and many have a nautical theme. If you glance through my window you can see a wonderful whale print over the mantle, also one of Kolene's.
I love brown and white shells...polka dots, checkered and stripes!
I finally broke down and bought a conch shell in Key West last month. Knowing we probably won't be visiting the island again any time soon, I had to bring one of these beauties home. My grandmother always used these shells as door stops.
Hope your June is rolling along smoothly. I have been doing a bit of hand sewing...working on Halloween and Christmas for my friend's shop. Hooking is out for now, but I do enjoy pulling a needle through some cloth and having a little witch or angel appear.
Have a great week!
Enjoy the day,
Robyn

Hi Robyn,
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely window, my friend!! I can almost hear the ocean from that gorgeous shell!!! My two granddaughters just LOVE shells!!! So pretty!
So very sorry to hear about your other arm too!! I am glad to hear that you are still able to do some stitching though!!! Hoping it heals soon!!! I am nursing a very sore foot.....not sure if it is fibro or strained from using an exercise machine! Maybe a bit of both!! Resting it and hooking are both good medicine!!!
Take care and enjoy your week!!
Warm Hugs to you and Annie~
Julie
Now I know what's been wrong with my life. I haven't changed my kitchen
ReplyDeletewindow. Without your prompt it doesn't happen! I'll work on it today.
I only have a small space but I do enjoy playing with it. June is wonderful
and quite a change. Glad you can stitch a little. I hibernate during the hot
months and work on Christmas presents. Hope the wing gets better. Julia
Always look forward to your monthly 'window' theme.
ReplyDeleteLove this one - we spent many a vacations at the ocean so this was very pleasant and serene for me to see....thank you.
