On my frame...

I have two rugs that I have been working on, on and off, for a few years. I just can't seem to get them finished. So...what do I do? I start another rug. I have been itching to get at this rug for a good while. This great pattern is by Jill Peterson.

I've pulled my favorite colors and have tried the "ten minute hooker" routine...committing to hook a minimum of ten minutes a day. So far, so good.

Tomorrow we begin to paint. Cloud Nine by Benjamin Moore will go up on the walls of the sunroom. I'm still deciding about the trim color. It will be white...there are so many whites it's mind boggling. I've packed up the room, taken down shelves and patched holes.
I can't wait!!!

I have also decided to forget about selling off some of my collections at this time. Thanks to those of you who expressed an interest. Too many things going on at the moment...and don't forget, I'm a full time mom (with grey hair) and that takes a good deal of my energy and attention. I'm packing things away for now.

Cannot believe that May will be here in a few days! How quickly the days past.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend with fine weather and an adventure or two.

Enjoy the day,
Robyn

  1. How exciting your new life phase sounds. I think I have been inspired to finally clean and paint some heirloom shutters. Of course it will have to stop raining for a few days. These shutters are about 6' high and come from the family home where Mom lives. I look forward to placing them in our bedroom and using them to hang cross stitch projects.

  3. Robyn I love what you've accomplished so far on your rug. Now I want to hook one like it. BUT, am working on my grandson's rug right now and will start yet another rug from my stash in two weeks. Still so many in my stash to do. Also my house needs a repainting but dread the chaos it will bring to my life and that of my boy Ben. Besides I can just see him knocking over a bucket of paint since he is a bull in a china shop there is no barricade that would keep him corralled.

  4. I have hooked that cat before you are doing a great job and the 10 minute thing works for sure I need to make myself get back at it.
