I took the above photo years ago at the United States Supreme Court. This chandelier hangs in the private room where we attended, with our Board of Governors family, a private breakfast reception before the swearing in ceremony of our group.

This impressive source of light reminds me of our 41st president...George H.W. Bush. His "Points of Light" endeavor was, and continues to be, about volunteering service to America.

What a fine man we lost this week...a statesman, a patriot...a true source of light.

  1. It was a beautiful memorial service on TV today , we need to follow in his foot steps.

  2. A true gentleman.
    Godspeed, George H.W.

  3. He was indeed a great man. One of our past Premier of our province of New Brunswick, Frank McKenna and his wife Julie, were great friend of George Bush and his wife and have been keeping in touch in touch over the years. He gave a great tribute to George Bush.
    May he rest in peace.
    Hugs, Julia

  4. When Civility meant something....a family dedicated to service. While I was on opposite sides politically, I never doubted he was a good man, an honest man, a man of integrity. He and his kind are missed.
