Rain, rain and more rain...

It has been raining nonstop since we woke up yesterday morning. Not a light shower or sprinkling...an all out torrential downpour. This tropical storm has been sitting on top of us, pouring rain and blowing high winds for over thirty six hours. Tornadoes have been sited way too close for comfort. The flooding is already causing problems and tides at the beach are washing over the sea walls.

This is what keeps popping up on the tv while we are trying to watch the Olympic trials. Thankfully, we still have power. Monday morning will be very messy around here.

We've been through hurricanes but we've never experienced anything like this!

Hope you are enjoying your evening,

Good night from very soggy Florida!
Robyn

  6. We were beautiful all weekend but today overcast and the threat of rain for the next few days.
I wish it would go out west where the fires are to help those poor firemen and all the animals running for their lives.
    stay safe.

  7. I keep seeing those awful forecasts for you all in Florida. Keep safe -- I hope you don't get flooding either.

  9. I know it doesn't compare, but we had our share of rain here last week. I have an old whiskey barrel planted with flowers, and in the 24 years I've planted it, never once did it not thrive....this year it is flooded and I don't believe there's any hope of resuscitation.... :o Hope the days ahead bring drying breezes (mind you, NOT gale force winds) and sunny skies. Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
