...more random stuff

I am in the process of redoing a bit in Annie's bathroom. Thought I'd share with you how much I love to add the work of some of my favorite talented needle artists to every room.

This little sheep pin keep is the work of Rebecca from "The Simple Quiet". I knew exactly where I would put them when I ordered them, and they look just as sweet as I envisioned they would.

I love Rebecca's use of neutrals, and am waiting for the arrival of another one of her creations to add to this room. I'll show more pics when it is complete.

The mailman delivered these goodies last week. Maggie Bonanomi's latest book, "A Day at Sunnybrook"...another treasure from this wonderfully talented lady. And, the latest kit from the Prim Sisters Club...The Sowing Sampler by Lori Brechlin of Notforgotten Farm...beautiful threads, linen and fabric included in this sweet pattern pack, as well as a great pattern that has birds in it! My "To Do List" is getting very long!

The linen that came with the sampler is underneath the threads and the backing fabric shown in the upper right corner. The piece in the front is an antique piece of linen and not part of the kit.

Finally, I drew another funny face on some linen last night and he is slowly coming to life.

Have a wonderful week...we are in for lots more rain here. I've been remiss in leaving comments on some of my favorite blogs...I'll try to do better....bear with me, I'm a full time mom with gray hair and creaky bones....and, I can't see the floor in my laundry room.

Enjoy the day,

  1. Hi Robyn~
I love your sweet sheep pinkeeps (try saying that 5 times!!) and of course, LOVE the new book from Maggie!! I do not have it yet, but I WANT ONE!! smile! Lori's works are always wonderful too and you will have so much fun creating!!
Love the chair hanging from the peg!
Have fun redecorating!! Your new pumpkin guy looks so fun too!
Have a Happy Day my friend~~

  2. Oh my goodness... I'm giggling at your closing statement... :-) Rebecca creates some beautiful pieces... and the neutrals definitely add a quiet beauty to each. I'm waiting for my copy of Sunny Brook to arrive... not that I don't have plenty to keep me busy until it does! lol! :-)

  3. I love seeing your decorating. Love seeing your new stash too! The hooking is looking intriguing as well!

  4. Good Day Robyn, love the redoing, nice pegrack and whats on and hanging from it. Really love the horse pull toy on the shelf. Can`t wait to see pumpkin face, great job so far, happy hooking,Francine.

  5. Hi, Robyn ~ it all looks great. How do you hook on linen like that? I'm still trying my hand at it. It's trickier than I thought! The sampler kit looks beautiful, I see the old linen in there, it's going to be gorgeous.

  6. The little sheep pinkeep is so sweet! Don't you just love it when you get some fun stuff in the mail!? Sure beats those darn bills!

  7. Really? Laundry rooms have floors??? ;o) Arghh....try having a mechanic in the one child can go through so many clothes in one day is a mystery I'll never solve.... Love your tweaking in Annie's bath. (Really??? That's her BATH??? Can I stay there????) Rebecca's work is wonderful - but, gee, everytime I peek in on her updates, everything is I know who I can curse.... (JUST KIDDING!) Sunny Brook looks intriguing, but, sigh, I'd likely get it and never have the courage to try anything in it. (Like I NEED another project....) That old linen piece is that Hardanger work? Happy New Week Ahead! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin (PS - Bring on the pumpkin folk!!!)

  8. Hi, Robyn,
I love Annie's bathroom, that horse pull toy is so special! I love anything that is horses. Lucky you to have Maggie's new book already. I ordered mine from Amazon, because I have an Amazon credit card where the points go to free books. Unfortunately, they are temporarily out of stock :(. I decided to bide my time by going back and looking at Buttonwood Farm...but I have scoured the house and can't find it!! I know if I order another copy, I'll find it right away.
    Lucky you to have rain......

  9. I'm glad that I am not the only one with laundry on the floor...but I am here blogging. Love your random pics! Take care, Janice

  10. Morning Friend

However you can today. I worked till late in the evening as today I have many fields to mow.
Lovin your dear sheep pinkeeps and how you are arranging things. I tell my Love all the time its much cheaper for me to be constantly arranging than shopping .:0)
I can't wait to see your new creation complete.

  11. Rebecca chooses THE BESTEST colors! I wish I had that knack :)
    Love you new pumpkin guy.
