Pewter, pine and patina

Last week, I redid the shelves above the French doors on the sunporch...then I snapped these photos. It struck me how similar the colors are in each photo ...pewter grey, tobacco brown, and a soft black. This is my favorite color combo...these are the colors in this room. Red...well I will always consider red my favorite color...but this color combo...I go back to it again and again.

...pumpkin pine...

...a noble steed...

...old tin...

...treen match holder...

...whale oil lamps...

...worn leather books...

Enjoy the day,

  1. LOVE all of your displays Robyn. As for Pinterest, I haven't signed up but I have looked and there are tons of my pictures on there from my blog. I don't know any way to stop it. I guess when you put it on the Internet there is no control. I decided not to worry about it and take it as a compliment for my work and decorating as others seem to love the pictures I put up. Lori

  2. The colors do look wonderful together, Robyn. Love your photos, as usual...very well done!

  3. Nice! I like the color combination too although I never would have thought of it myself. You always take such nice pictures -- your house must be so pretty!

  4. Robyn, Those colors are perfect together, so soothing and calming. I understand your favoritism of red! ~Ann

  5. Robyn ~
I drool over your pictures everytime you post new ones. I have quite a collection of treen and that match holder is wonderful. So different and I'm guessing very early. The leather books are the perfect compliment.
    Hugs :)

  6. Love Love the pewter and old books! Your header is really nice too! Take care, Janice

  7. Wonderful photos that just seem to warm the heart. Thanks for taking these pretty little snapshots.

  8. You have summed up some of my favorite loves absolutely beautifully. Huge, contented, SIGH..... ;o) Robin
