Home again

Now this is a great hotel! Yesterday, after leaving Miami Beach, we made a stop at The Breakers in Palm Beach. This is one of the finest hotels in Florida and a favorite of ours. Mr. M.and I came here on our honeymoon...thirty years ago next month. Unfortunately, we did not stay over...Mr. M. had a quick meeting...and then we headed home.

This is an old hotel...very Old World and elegant...but full of families and low key...not at all stuffy.

Annie and I made camp in the lobby and enjoyed people watching.

The group had a suite and we went up to have a look...what a view!

We are home again...back to reality...mounds of laundry and in need of groceries, and very glad to be
 here.

Enjoy the day,
Robyn

  2. Thanks to you, I've been an armchair traveler this summer! There is nothing like old elegant hotels, I never get tired of visiting The Drake in Chicago whenever I go back home. Love the picture of you and Annie camping...

  3. How wonderful that lovely old hotel appears, and what a nice photo of you and sweet Annie. I have yet to stay in a hotel/motel that I would go back to. The view and sunset is absolutely magical. Safe travels, Julie.

  6. Welcome home!! Wish my mounds of laundry were because I was someplace fun....but no, just here.... That hotel looks dreamy - what a great place to spend your honeymoon....Sweet photo of you and Miss Annie. I have a purse/tote just like that....Is it a Dooney & Bourke??? And now I'll have that song going through my head....."Shine on my love and me...so we can stroll beside the roll of the rolling sea...." ;o) Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

    1. Thanks for the serenade, Ms. Crow. The bag is Michael Kors...I have a "purse problem"...don't care about shoes...but bags...they call my name.
      Thanks for stopping by,

  8. I have been to the Breakers...also, years ago. But, it looks like the floral arrangements the lobby haven't changed. What was the color way for the outside flowers. One year I did my whole porch in their colors.. Lee

    1. Hi Lee, I absolutely love The Breakers! We were there last July and always have a wonderful stay...and I always take a pic by the lobby floral arrangement...they are so gorgeous! The beds outside were oranges and corals...also very pretty. Thanks for coming by!

  9. Hi Robyn and Annie, I like the hotel picture but love the picture of you and Annie in the lobby. I'm glad that you are back home to the familiar.

I've notice that the sun is lower at sunset. It wont be long that September will be here and foggy mornings.

    Have a great week. JB
