Land of the free...
We had a wicked storm come through here last night. It ripped my flag pole holder right off the house! The yards are a mess, with limbs down and debris all over. We were in need of the rain, but the fierceness of this storm was scary!
I'll be buying a new flag holder this weekend so that we can fly our flag on Memorial Day. Our plans include a very long "Honey Do List". Maybe we will take a trip to the beach to view the sunset, or linger over our morning coffee while lounging in our new...very red...Adirondack chairs. Summer is upon us, and the possibilities are endless.
Thank you all around...to those who serve, those who served in days gone by...and especially to those who gave their lives so that we may live in...the land of the free...and enjoy the luxury of lazy Summer days.
Have a great weekend...stay safe!
Enjoy the day,
Robyn

Oh that sounds like a scary storm! Sorry about all the downed limbs and the flag holder. Have a great weekend
ReplyDeleteSorry about your flag holder too and the mess that the storm left behind. The main thing is to be grateful that no one was hurt and to still remember the heros that makes your country safe and free.
ReplyDeleteHave a safe and memorable weekend. JB

Glad to hear you got through the storm without injury.
ReplyDeleteHoping your Memorial day weekend is a Happy one!
Blessing to you... to all who did serve... and those who are still serving our country!
Sorry to hear about the damage from the storm, but glad no one was hurt.
ReplyDeleteI love the Sweet Liberty print!
We had two tornadoes come through within a mile or two on Thursday. Oh, I so hate those dastardly things. We're ok - bushes and foliage a little less lush for the wear, but I'll take it as a blessing. Today is rainy and nasty COLD! Wishing you a blessed and joyful holiday weekend! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that only your flag pole holder was damaged. Hope the rest of your holiday weekend is better. Take care, Janice

ReplyDeleteHappy to hear that you and your family are safe and relatively unscathed. Much needed rain is one thing...but nasty storms can be done without.
Happy Memorial Day to you!
Hugs :)
